MMN Email - Training Guide for New Users

1. Are you a new user in IBM Marketing Cloud? (formerly known as Silverpop)

2. Have you already submitted a ticket to Zendesk requesting a new account in IBM Marketing Cloud (Silverpop)

  • If yes, follow the instructions below to begin training.
  • If no, you haven't requested an account, you can't move forward until doing so.

Follow the instructions below in the order they're given:

We use the email platform IBM Marketing Cloud, formerly known as Silverpop. There are 2 links you're required to use. As listed in Step 1, the main URL is Engage. Explained in Step 2, the 2nd URL is the Support Portal, where you'll complete online training.

Step 1.
Login to IBM Marketing Cloud

The day your account was created, a temporary password was created and given to you.  It expires in 7 days, so you must change it immediately.

You MUST activate your account before proceeding with any other steps. After you've logged in using your supplied credentials and changed your password, continue to step 2.

*Do not begin actively mailing from this account until your training is completed.

  • Reminder: Login credentials for the Support Portal are different than Engage's.
  • The Support Portal can also be used to submit an IBM Marketing Cloud support case when you have a user question or error and need some guidance. Instructions on how to login to the Support Portal or to submit an IBM Marketing Cloud support case are listed in the training doc and here.

Step 3. Download and save the contact list how to guide.

Step 4. After completing the required digital training courses, contact Melissa Blanco or Alaina Doran via Zendesk to schedule a time for a training phone call. After the call your training is complete and you'll be ready to begin mailing!
